If you’re going to make jeans, make them the best. A great pair of raw denim depends first on the fabric, then on how you wear and fade them. We’ve sourced a rare 14.75oz heavyweight vintage shuttle-loomed denim (which shrinks to 15.5oz after washing). This kind of fabric is extremely hard to find—so much so that we once considered custom-ordering it. However, modern machines can’t replicate this texture; only old shuttle looms can produce denim with the right natural slub and hairy surface, which are key to premium raw denim. Red selvedge (redline) is standard. Our First Slim-Fit Jeans This is our shop’s first slim-fit jeans—a clean, no-pocket-embroidery design with a slight tapered leg opening. Since some find button flies inconvenient, we’ve used a YKK zipper for this model. The tag is made from washed paper stock for a vintage touch.
